An Update on VNA Care’s Response to the Coronavirus

For more than 130 years, VNA Care has focused on the health and well-being of individuals and families across Eastern and Central Massachusetts. As we all do our part to put an end to COVID-19, please know that VNA Care is taking every precaution to keep our patients, their loved ones, and our staff safe.

VNA Care is closely monitoring developments and following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Our nurses, rehabilitation therapists, and other clinicians are knowledgeable in identifying signs of COVID-19 as well as steps to help keep their patients and themselves safe. Among the measures we are taking are:

  • Screening patients for COVID-19 before visiting them at home
  • Following standard clinical precautions, such as proper hand washing, to prevent the spread of infections
  • Using personal protective equipment, such as face masks, when needed
  • Providing education to our patients and those living with them about steps they can take to reduce their risk for getting the coronavirus

While VNA Care is on the front lines of battling COVID-19, we continue to provide home health, palliative, and hospice care to individuals with a wide range of health concerns, including diabetes, cancer, and heart failure. This care makes all the difference — enabling people to remain out of the hospital and in the comfort and safety of their own homes.

VNA Care is here for you and your family during this difficult time. If you have any questions, please call us at 800-521-5539.

Sincerely,

Todd Rose, CFO and Interim CEO

Jane Pike-Benton, RN, MS, Chief Clinical Officer
