VNA Care Celebrating 100 years as Leominster's Visiting Nurses

VNA Care will mark 100 years of serving the City of Leominster with a special reception and Keep Well Clinic on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Leominster Senior Center.

Elizabeth Chen, secretary of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs, will be among the special guests offering their congratulations in honor of this milestone anniversary. She will be joined by Sen. Dean Tran and Rep. Natalie Higgins, who will present citations to VNA Care on behalf of the State Senate and House of Representatives. (The remarks and presentations will begin at 9:30 a.m.)

Nurses from VNA Care's Wellness Division will provide bone density and hypertension screenings throughout the morning. Refreshments will be served. The reception and Keep Well Clinic are free and open to the community.

VNA Care's Leominster office was established in 1919 as the Leominster Visiting Nurse Association through the support of the Red Cross and Fortnightly Club.
