Jeanne Callahan-Lydon Named Interim Chief Nursing Officer

VNA Care recently named Jeanne Callahan-Lydon, RN, BSN, JD, as Interim Chief Nursing Officer.

In her new position, Callahan-Lydon will play an integral role in the VNA Care senior leadership team, advancing from her prior role as VNA Care’s Senior Vice President of Clinical Services, Quality and Risk Management. Callahan-Lydon has been instrumental in the creation and execution of the initiative to expand Remote Telehealth care beyond traditional home health and hospice care, enabling more people to cope with health problems while remaining in the community. She also led VNA Care in implementing an Alzheimer Support Program to meet the growing need for specialized care throughout Eastern and Central Massachusetts. Under the clinical oversight and direction of Callahan-Lydon, VNA Care’s home health divisions (VNA Care Network and VNA of Boston) were awarded the Home Care Elite Top Agency distinction.  This recognition places VNA Care in the top-performing 25% of home health care agencies in the United States.

Callahan-Lydon received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College before entering home health care in 1984. She developed a breadth and depth of knowledge in the field including clinical service provision, clinical management, program development participation, design and implementation of cost-efficient workflow processes that maximize efficiencies as well as achieve desired quality benchmarks for patients and agencies. During this time, Callahan-Lydon also completed her Juris Doctor at the Massachusetts School of Law and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar Association in 2002.
