VNA Care Names Elizabeth Kleber, PhD, RN, as Chief Operating Officer

VNA Care, the Commonwealth’s largest independent nonprofit provider of home health, hospice, and palliative care, has appointed Elizabeth Kleber, PhD, RN, as Chief Operating Officer.

Dr. Kleber brings over three decades of leadership in home-based health care to her new role, where she will oversee the operations of VNA Care’s home health and hospice services acrossElizabeth Kleber Eastern and Central Massachusetts. Her extensive experience positions her to help advance the organization’s mission of delivering compassionate, high-quality care to patients where they feel most comfortable—at home. 

Prior to joining VNA Care, Dr. Kleber served as Vice President of Post-Acute and Home Services at Guthrie Clinic, where she led home health and hospice agencies in New York and Pennsylvania. She is recognized for her expertise in accountable care and bundled payment models, both of which are designed to enhance care coordination, improve outcomes, and reduce overall healthcare costs.

Dr. Kleber’s professional background spans nursing management, disease management, case management, nursing education, and medical-surgical care. She earned her PhD in Nursing Research from Rutgers University and holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Kean University. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
